Overview
KEPOS Academy sells online philosophy courses in live and recorded format. Users choose the course they want to enroll into. Courses have four status:
1. Not available yet:
Means that there is no live or recorded course yet to purchase.
2. Available:
Means that users can enroll and buy that course. Users will find the schedule and the date on which the course is set to start. When the status of a course changes from "available" to "ongoing," it means that it is currently happening. "Available" and "ongoing" courses have the same price.
3. Ongoing:
Means that the course is only available in live format. When a user buys an "ongoing" course, they will receive a document containing three links: (1) to the platform on which the live courses will take place in order to
attend; (2) to download the reading materials; (3) to re-watch the
recorded sessions once the session is over. Once the course has finished, its status changes to "complete."
4. Complete:
Means that all live sessions of the course were recorded and are now available for viewing. When users buy a "complete" course, they will receive only the links to the downloadable materials and to the recordings only.
Users who purchased the course while "ongoing" will not have to buy it again once it is "complete" to watch the recordings. They will still have access it and watch the recordings. All users will benefit from a lifelong access to the courses they enroll into.
Payment
Users have to choose their mode and option of payment which will be available with each course. Users can buy courses either by
1. Direct bank transfer
From all over the world, users can transfer the money to the instructor's bank account.
2. Credit card (not functional yet)
Using services of Stripe and Clictopay, users can purchase courses from all over the world.
3. E-dinar card
For Tunisian users only. Users can pay using an e-dinar card.
4. Money order
Users can send a money order to the instructor's name.
4. Cash or check
Users can contact the instructor to arrange a meeting in real life and give the money in cash or a check.
Pricing
A course's price may vary depending on its density; number of lectures and workshops; its status; the currency; or if, at the learner's request, the course will be a private dialogue with the instructor. Learners need to select which formula is best suited for them:
1. Status variation:
A course will cost more as "ongoing" rather than as "complete". In an "ongoing" course, learners can interact directly with their instructors and be more responsive unlike in "complete" courses where users only have recordings and texts to study on their own and at their own pace.
2. Content variation:
The more lectures and workshops in a course, the higher its price.
3. Currency variation:
The price will also vary depending on the currency you want to pay with. Users can pay in two currencies: in dollars or in Tunisian dinars. Tunisian users will pay a price that is in accordance with Tunisian purchasing power.
4. Size variation:
Users can choose their courses' size. Courses can be (1) small: only lectures or only workshops; (2) full: both lectures and workshops. Both
the user and the instructor decide on the schedule for the private
sessions. This is the most expansive formula.
5. Coupons (cf below):
Users can benefit from coupons that offer generous discounts on many courses.
Refunds
Users can have refunds only through explicit requests to KEPOS Academy either through e-mail or phone call. Refunds are only possible in the following conditions. Users will have refunds
1.
if, upon enrollment, users are denied access to KEPOS Academy's materials and services
due to UNSOLVED/UNSOLVABLE technical problems.
2. if they cancel their enrollment in a course still in "available" status at any moment and without having to provide any justification. But once the course starts (status changes to "ongoing") or is finished (status changes to "complete"), refunds are only possible under specific conditions;
2. in an "ongoing" course if it is cancelled midway or doesn't reach its end;
4. in a "complete" course if recordings are indefinitely removed from the streaming platform in less than six months after their uploading. Users will only receive refunds of the "complete" course's price even if they purchased the course while in "ongoing" status. If the removal was due to temporary maintenance of the website or the platform, which means that the materials will come back soon, refund requests will be rejected.
A refund will terminate a user's enrollment process and must start anew if they wish to continue learning with KEPOS Academy.
